SYNOPSIS
Resimpulse is an immersive 2D adventure game that combines thrilling RPG-like elements with a gripping narrative.
Players step into the shoes of Dracula, once a legendary vampire, who finds himself in a fictionalized Kingston neighbourhood. As Dracula, the main objective is to prepare for an epic battle against a formidable adversary, the Hunter Werewolf.

However, blending into the community becomes crucial as Dracula must navigate the intricacies of the neighbourhood, interact with its diverse inhabitants, and unravel their stories to gather essential resources and knowledge.
​
With time running out, players must strategically plan their actions, form alliances, and harness Dracula's supernatural abilities to overcome challenges, uncover secrets, and ultimately stand a chance against the impending confrontation with the Hunter Werewolf.

Resimpulse offers an engaging gameplay experience, combining immersive storytelling, strategic decision-making, and pulse-pounding action, ensuring an unforgettable adventure in the world of supernatural creatures and a race against time.

GAMEPLAY

Control legendary DRACULA, and interact with a thriving neighbourhood oblivious to a supernatural mystery surrounding them.​

Interact with unique NPCs who can get be hunted or become hunters if you show your dark nature.

Solve the web of story threads inter-twined with each other to get to the centre which hold the key to survival.

Use vampiric abilities such as MESMER or challenge yourself by playing game without any supernatural abilities using environment as your weapon.

THEMES & INFLUENCES

Main theme of this project is based on BONDS and FANTASY.

Inspired from various narrative games such as VAMPYR, LIFE IS STRANGE.

Focused on quality instead of quantity open-world.

Various ways to approach the game with key decisions to make which binds the fate of key characters.
ANALYSIS
As the emphasis us on actions and consequences, the focus is on the different scenarios the protagonist (and the player) will face by choosing a choice which makes most sense in a certain encounter.
This is visually indicated through the wounds on Dracula disappearing if the player chooses to rejuvenate by killing the wounded person.

OUTCOMES

Created a VERTICAL SLICE using UNITY and INK by INKLE.
